Competitions are expensive. Primarily because you never know if you are going to get paid and getting paid only happens IF you win. 50% of the time the game is rigged from the start and the amount of energy needed to produce a suitable project is hardcore.

The competition was to design 2, 4 room houses for a fixed ²m price. One that could be adapted to a 9m large parcel of land and another PMR LITthat could be adapted to a 10m large one. Each house must be adapted for a PMR so losing 1m is a bigger deal than it appears. Rooms need to be a certain dimension so that a PMR can circulate freely in them, toilets, bathrooms, corridors, doors etc… constraints everywhere and the house still needs to be liveable, for a certain price etc…

So, when one does come along that we feel confident enough to win, well… we go all in. OLD SCHOOL. paper, pens and of course REVIT to make optimisation, child’s play. light analyses, thermal analysis etc…

  1. Good post. I learn one thing more challenging on completely different blogs everyday. It will at all times be stimulating to learn content from other writers and follow a bit one thing from their store. I’d desire to make use of some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a hyperlink in your net blog. Thanks for sharing.
